Philippine Black Sand

My sister found this picture of the black volcanic sand beach that was were we lived. In the picture is our cook, one of the maids, my brother and I think that is my sister with her back to the camera. I am not sure if that is me in the picture or not - way too many years ago. Everyone swam in shorts - bathing suits were expensive and considered immodest - but being Americans no one was surprised when we wore one. I had one when I moved there but when it gave out just went to shorts also. Gee seems I am right back in the same position - you couldn't get me into a bathing suit for nothing. My daughter wears spandex shorts and a sports bra - that I may try.

That's Maria's back in the foreground, you were taking the picture, and me... I was taking your picture off to the right in the red T shirt you can just barely see me. I can't find the picture I took of you as you were taking this picture! maybe it didn't turn out.

I've never seen a black sand beach. It looks very pretty. Everyone seems to be having fun.

Thanks for posting the black sand beach and it does look like everyone is having fun...including the maid & cook and the kids.

I prefer to wear shorts and shirt when swimming...I'm just more confortable and not so selfconscience that way.

I've always worn a bathing suit ... but as I get older ... shorts and a t-shirt are sounding better and better ... and better ... and better ...

I've not seen a black sand beach either. I bet it's pretty and very unsual.

Thanks for sharing it with us.

Looks like everyone is having fun.
