Forgot -Very Important

The Philippines is made up of over seven thousand islands. Only about seven hundred of these have people on them. So a very important part of transportation are boats. There are small boats, medium sized boats and big ferrys that run regular routes just like the jeepnys and buses.
Hope you have enjoyed this trip back in time with me. More to come.

Seven thousand Islands??? I had no idea. Probably only the larger Islands are populated.
Thanks for the journey to the Philippines, I've enjoyed your stories and seeing your pictures...they are lovely.

I'll have to reread through the Phillipine posts again. I love the pictures. I think it's very interesting to see how others live, their land, transportation, daily life, etc. I love traveling!!

Wow! These are great pictures. I found a couple of books at some thriftstores which have some of the old pictures of the Philippines, like back in the 60s when we were there. What memories... I will have to scan them and send them to you. Can't wait to see you next week!
