Real Sign
For those of you who thought the 17 1/2 mph sign was a joke here is another sign same place. It was taken at Cove Harbour where there are ruining a good little retreat that used to be Bahia Beach with building tall condos in every space they can.

Does this mean you could get a ticket for going 1/2 mile over the speed limit? LoL
I would have believed ya. We have 17 mph areas here but not with the 1/2 mph. That is odd.
We used to visit the Bahia Beach Motel when I was little and had some great vacations there.
The silly speed limit is just to make people comment and perhaps slow down to at least 20 mph or slower. It is was 15 or 20, no one would think about it. I bet if you ask anyone there what the speed limit is, they all know!

I believe tuffenuff is correct,I'll never forget.
I don't think that any buildings should be alowed to be built on the beach...across the road fine...but the beach should be public property for all to enjoy. It is getting really hard to find ways of getting onto the seashore in some places and where on earth do you park.
