Birthday Girl

Here is the birthday girl and as usual the cheapest thing was the favorite - a coloring book with lots of stickers in it.
Reading card with Dad and friend.
She got what she wanted for a cake - Barbie Princess I think.
Another cheap gift but a favorite - a smiley face poster;

I used to just LOVE coloring books! Oh heck ... I still do!!!!! I like to use them as transfers for quilts and such. Sometimes just to color!!!

I've never seen a barbie cake before. Very pretty!!

I remember going to my neices birthday party recently and she got all these wonderful gifts and the thing she wouldn't stop playing with was a very inexpensive small rubber ball about the size of a basketball. Because she was ignoring and even seemed to lose interest in opening anymore gifts they had to sneak the ball away from her. But that's kids for you...they don't need elaborate expensive toys.

Your granddaughter is cute and I'm like Ava, I've never seen a Barbee Cake either.

My Mom made these barbie cakes for each of us 3 girls, for our 16th birthday!! She would add hundreds of little icing stars, and top each one with a silver candy bead.

For my wedding shower, she did the same, and made it all white, with silver beads on each star. It was beautiful!!

Nice to see, they still make barbie doll cakes-they are sooO precious, and special.

All you do to make one, is a double round layer cake, and plunk a doll in center, ice and voila! lol

looks like they had lots of fun with gramma's toys!

I bet she loved the cake. I didn't know they made those until the cake lady told me about it. Stef and her friends were very surprised when we pulled out the cake.

That coloring book looks like lots of fun.
