Busy Morning

After a 'heated' discussion last night about getting rid of some of the junk we still have after moving over a year and a half ago I started on the back room (after I got out of my night gown - see last post). I came up with two piles of boxes, a vacuum cleaner which my neighbor is going to try and all of Steve's singing fishes, lobsters, etc. but I didn't leave myself out I still had boxed up all my bird houses that were bait shops, bathrooms, etc. Guess where all this stuff is going tomorrow - The Mission - they unload the stuff there for you. It took me all morning and a lot of rest stops but I think I made a good start.

Don't you just love the "heated" discussions involved in getting rid of stuff? It's the same here!

I wish you lived closer, I'd take the birdhouses off your hands...they would be perfect for my wooden fence, it they are outdoor houses.

I saw someone mount birdhouses all over their wooden fence and they looked great.

Those heated discussions about getting rid of stuff are not fun, because it always comes back to both of you getting rid of stuff.

I just went through all my clothes and closets...had a couple of big bags to bring to the mission. Always feels good to be able to get rid of some stuff!!

I finally dumped off 4 bags today.

Plus I recycled all our plastic grocery bags.

Doesn't it feel good to clear out the clutter in your life! I have also been doing that, Spring Cleaning, or whatever it is called!

Dear DoubleKnot, I been doing the same thing the past month or more!! My son leaves for college in less than two months; and I dont want to be bogged down with so much pack-rat stuff!! I can't believe how much bigger my place looks!! eeeek! what a difference. I'm getting rid of everything not needed, or used in a long time. We are going to have a yard sale, if we can find time, OR give it to Salvation Army store, for the needy? Not sure yet, it's all a lot of work to do, and with 7 bad discs in my spine, it's not been easy. A little every day, goes a long way!

Glad you got your blog fixed!!

Lovely granddaughter on her birthday!! She looks so happy!!

Did you have the birthday pictures up before? I must be going blind.

Happy Birthday to her.

At least she's old enough to enjoy the gifts more than the box they came in.

We talk about going through some of the junk we have in the attic, but it hasn't been done yet.

Happy Birthday to the birthday girl.
