Catching Up

Well I have had a birthday since the last post. I am now all of fifty eight years old. Inside I don't feel that old but outside my body has all the aches and pains of getting on in years.

My daughter sent me this neat fish. You would think it is real until you touched it. The fish is enclosed in clear soap. She sent me a box for Christmas and I think I will open it this Christmas Eve - can't wait any more.

I actually braved Wal Mart twice on Sunday. Thought there might not be too many people there but it was packed. I had bought Steve, my room mate a pair of Wrangler jeans and we were watching a commercial on TV for them and he said he didn't like them. Now I am a receipt saver but I looked high and low for the receipt for the jeans and couldn't find it. Wal Mart let me exchange them for a different brand. He wanted Rustlers but I couldn't find any. You can bet this time I saved the receipt so if he doesn't like them we can exchange them.

Well the turkey is thawing. The pies are thawing too - afraid I have gotten lazy in my old age and go the easy way - not even bring home and bake but bring home and thaw out. Hopefully we will have the kids and Steve's daughter and her husband all day Christmas day. They are going to help me cook too isn't that nice. Steph's husband is a strong fellow and I am going to let him handle getting the turkey in and out of the oven. Steve can't help because of his arm.

Merry Christmas to everyone out there in blogger land.
