Spring

Ah, spring has sprung around here. My room mate loveingly counts his tomatoes every day - 15 of them. My marigolds have decided to start blooming.
We started on the windows last weekend. We are determined to get to the spare room and get some of my books unpacked - but it is a bad case of firstes - first we have to get book shelves and something to cover the windows - we are thinking roll up blinds - of course this all takes time and that ever needed thing - money. My hands haven't been so good lately so I haven't gotten to crochet as much as I wanted. Received the patterns for some lovely book bags and I think I have enough wool to do one thanks to my lovely daughter. It is unbelievable that you can't buy wool down here. Thank goodness there is the net - I am going to have to check out a few sites that sell wool. I am determined to felt something. Have to get batteries for the camera so no pictures yet.

Lazy Sunday

Everything got done yesterday - the shopping - the running around - so today is going to be a laid back day. Time to water the tomatoes and my marigolds - which are just now starting to bloom.
Thought I was going fishing this morning but my fishing partner is still in his room snoring away. It is a little too cool for me any way. We always catch and release. You don't get a legal size fish too often anyway. We just enjoy getting out in the sun and breathing the salt air. No phones, no worries just cast and reel and if I get a bite or a fish I look at it as a bonus.
I will get some more pictures posted soon.

Afghan Posted by Hello

Here is the afghan that is taking so long to finish. Just two simple stiches - a slip and a treble - but it comes out to a very pretty pattern. There is so much I want to get started on. I now have some wool to try my hand at felting - thanks! - I am going to try a hook holder. Now with the help of my darling smart daughter I am getting to where I can work my blog - it won't be so frustrating.

Tomato! Posted by Hello

Little tomatoes are busting out all over. My room mate is beside his self trying to figure out when one will get ripe.

Pictures and Posts

Can't seem to get them together - the pictures and the posts that go with them. Do I write the post first or upload the picture first. I know I did it before now I am confused again. Oh well - try - try again and again. At least I am getting pictures on the blog now.

Here is Moocher just taking it easy in the shade. I really am going to get back to posting some crochet pictures but right now I have spring fever.

Flowers

This is Lantanna that was brought in originally as a landscape plant and escaped to become a weed here but a costly plant up north.

Marigold

The plants are loaded with buds but until they start to open here is one lone marigold shining in the sun.

Tomato Blooms

These are my room mate's tomato plants - he checks them every day. Hopefully I will be able to show you a picture of a tomato soon.
